Bauer’s Candy is in its 134th year of operation, with Anna Bauer being the first daughter of this family business to own and operate the company. They produce the famous “Modjeska”, originally named “Caramel Biscuit.” This rich confection was initially produced in 1889 by Anna’s great-grandfather. The “Modjeska” is a homemade creamy marshmallow center hand dipped into a rich and creamy homemade caramel.
They make our Modjeskas the old-fashioned way and use only the best ingredients. Under Anna’s stewardship, Bauer’s Candies, Inc. is a thriving, growing business, experiencing yet another cycle in its long history. The Modjeskas are shipped all over the United States and the rest of the world – to Canada, Budapest, China, even to a Lord and Lady every year in England.
